Austin Area Tax is owned and operated by Shelia Williams, CPA. Shelia Williams is a licensed certified public accountant with the state of Texas since 2005. With strong central Texas roots, her family is from Lockhart and she graduated high school from McNeil High School in Round Rock ISD. She attended Texas A&M University at College Station where she graduated with a bachelor degree in accounting and a master degree in finance.
Following college, she spent 6 years in Houston launching her career with a prestigious Big 4 accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche. After returning home and settling down in north Austin, she spent 2 years with a local organic grocer, Whole Foods Market, before landing her dream job preparing taxes for the best people, her clients.
Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, gardening, and raising backyard chickens.
